Hey-
Having a good credit score is becoming more important in more and more areas of our lives these days. Now it may prevent you from getting that new job you want.
Just as a credit score is used to help determine what you pay for your auto and home insurance rates, the score indicates to potential employers what kind of person you are and how responsible you are. If you don’t have your credit organized then, they argue, how are you going to be organized at work.
There may be instances when your credit score is low due to personal issues, such as a recent divorce or a massive amount of student loans. You want to be upfront about this to potential employers. If they understand, great. If they don’t then maybe it’s not the kind of place you should be working for in the first place.
